Our experience doing psychotherapy with kids and familieshas also taught us how tough it is for most schools to make room for a
student who is having a difficult moment. In schools often the show must go on and the young person feeling left behind.
Young people rarely tell us straight out why school is driving them crazy, what's causing them to experience anxiety or sadness, why at times they do inexplicable things. They often find creative ways to let us know that something is going on.
We can help your child and you as a family develop strategies to find more serenity and consistency in your day to day life.
We can work with your son or daughter to move through the usual developmental phases with more ease, or through tough challenges like a divorce or separation, a mid-year move or the loss of a person or animal.
Sometimes we work one-on-one with the young person, sometimes with the whole family, sometimes with just a parent.
